Nova Esports begin their hunt for a third PMGC title

On November 10th, 2022, the PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds Mobile Global Championship kicked off its Group Stage, with a total of 48 teams split into three brackets. One of these teams, Nova Esports, have already been victorious in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship on two occasions – in 2020 and 2021, and are now in search of their third title. With the team’s Group Stage run about to kick off on November 17th, 2022, they have confirmed their star-studded roster that will be on the hunt for another Chicken Dinner Championship.

This roster features two new additions, in the form of Frozen and qc, while the star players of previous victories are still there, ready to guide their team to victory once again. One of the biggest changes on the roster for Nova is the move of He ‘Hmx1v5’ Mingxuan from player to a coaching role, which boosts the squad even more for their upcoming run at the PMGC 2022.

While the Group Stage of the event is well underway, with teams already eliminated, Nova Esports’ group have yet to get things started – with November 17th being the set date for Group Green to kick things off. With the likes of Alpha7 Esports, DAMWON Gaming, and Yoodo Alliance all part of Nova Esports’ group, you can expect an explosive Group Stage for this event. Whether or not Nova will be able to claim another PMGC Championship remains to be seen as the remaining teams fight their way through to the January 2023 Grand Finals.
